Media and Game Lab by Unity Sports academy
The Media & Game Lab is an innovative initiative led by Unity Sports Academy, in collaboration with Funadhoo School and proudly supported by Bank of Maldives (BML).
The project aims to create a creative learning hub for students, youth, and the wider community in Sh. Funadhoo by combining digital media, gaming, and sports education.
The lab will provide hands-on exposure to:
Media Production (photography, videography, editing, graphic design, storytelling)
Game Development (coding basics, interactive sports-based games, esports exposure)
Sports & Digital Integration (using media and gaming to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles)
This collaboration will foster creativity, digital literacy, and skill-building while encouraging youth engagement through fun, modern, and technology-driven activities.
Objectives
Build a digital media and gaming hub in Funadhoo School. Equip students with 21st-century skills in media production and esports. Create a safe and educational gaming space to channel youth interest positively. Promote teamwork, communication, and discipline through both sports and gaming. Develop community media content (school events, sports tournaments, social awareness campaigns). Encourage career pathways in media, esports, and creative industries.
